Important: For dogs with joint pain & inflammation
Hi, I'm Dr Tyler Simpson, and this dog on my shoulders is my best friend Nestle. She's 10 years old. I'm a small animal veterinarian at Sunrise Animal Hospital in Taylors, South Carolina.
It's really nice to meet you.

I’m about to share with you an incredible discovery that I found when my dog, Nestle, partially tore her ACL.

The good news is veterinary medicine is always changing. Medications get better and new treatment options emerge.

Nestle tore her ACL in her knee. Since she was older, I didn't want to risk doing the surgery. (Yeah, kind of weird coming from a Vet that specializes in joint surgeries) But, after several conversations with researchers, it was determined that Nestle would be one of the first dogs to receive a new cutting edge regenerative therapy using human stem cells.

With butterflies in my stomach and my fingers crossed, she received her first treatment. No drugs, no anesthesia. Just a tiny little IV bag full of cells that would give me hope and promise.

As the last drop of cells fell from her IV, I leaned over and kissed her head and whispered in her ear, “daddy is trying”.

A week would pass without much change.

I was told it would probably take six weeks at least, or maybe up to 3 months.

However, to my surprise at week 2, the door opened to the familiar sight and sound of a squeaky toy in mouth.

This was soon followed with an unassisted jump into the jeep! She hadn’t done that in months!

Two weeks later we were walking with more ease, with a limp, but we were walking!

The most profound of all changes came the following week when I heard a commotion out back of my house...

I heard my girls laughing, giggling, and yelling at someone. I looked over the balcony and tears were brought to my eyes.

The girls were playing bocce ball in the backyard when all the sudden Ness ran over, stole the marker ball, and commenced a game of keep away!!

My little girl was playing keep away and my girls had their dog back!!

I had my dog back!

Jack - Hip Dysplasia and Arthritis in Both Hips
Born with hip dysplasia Results...he is able to still walk!!!! Jack is a Great Pyrenees; which is a giant breed for dogs but mom's know best..i just felt something was not right with him getting up slowly (which is common for giant breed puppies as they are growing) Sure enough the vet confirmed he pretty much had no hip socket! We realized the severity of the situation when we took him to a pet store & his legs just splayed out & he yelped...it was horrible to see happen. Literally would not walk on white floors for about 6 months even after the surgery because of that incident. So long story short we had 3 choices: do nothing & his life expectancy would maybe be a year of being in pain, complete hip replacement $$$$$$ & basically reconstructing Jack's entire back end or try stem cells. We did the stem cells and we had a whole new dog! He was able to go into pet stores (slippery white floors), guard the yard, run & even hop around! Thanks to stem cells he is alive today. He just did his second treatment after 4 years and yes he is still stiff when he gets up but once he does his stretches he is good to go! Thanks for stems cells because I love my Jack to pieces!!
Stuart - Bilateral Elbow Arthritis
I have a beautiful blonde lab named Stu. His favorite thing in the world is to play ball. He can do it for hours. He loves playing ball so much that whenever anyone comes to our door, he grabs a toy to greet them, just in case they might want to play a game of fetch. So, you can certainly understand when early in 2017, he started limping whenever he would play fetch. We took him in and did all the therapies possible to help alleviate his pain. It got to where he could no longer play fetch at all. After one throw, he was in pain. He always was happy and hopeful, but it was obvious he was in pain and playing fetch was no longer an option. On one visit to Dr. Tyler for yet another shot, he mentioned stem cell therapy and sent me home with the information. After lots of reading, googling, and conversations with my husband, we decided to give it a try. Stu isn't at the end of his life, but only about half way there. We adore this funny happy dog. We took the leap. Stu was almost a completely different dog about a week after getting his stem cell injections. He felt better and had spring in his step. Actually, the toughest part of the process is trying to keep him from jumping and playing during the healing time. Stu felt so much better, he was almost like a puppy! It was truly amazing! Now here we are coming up to a year after the whole process and Stu is running and playing fetch again just like his old self. We are so grateful that Dr. Tyler educated us about stem cell therapy. It does work! I have a dog that would happily play fetch with you to prove it!
Maverick- Hip Dysplasia and Arthritis in both hips
Maverick, an 8 year old golden retriever, was adopted from a local humane society in February 2017. He had major difficulty going up stairs and jumping into the car. He would "bunny hop" up the stairs. Maverick had his stem cell therapy in November 2017. After 7 weeks Maverick is able to walk up the stairs normally without "bunny hopping." He is attempting to jump into the car which he never did before the treatment. Along with the stem cell therapy, Maverick continues his usual routine swimming twice a week and acupuncture twice a month which he has one since March 2017.
Makalia- Arthritis in both elbows
Our 8 year old golden retriever had arthroscopic surgery for right elbow dysplasia. We knew a second surgery would be necessary following an earlier surgery on the left elbow after a year. We decided to combine Stem Cell treatment with the arthroscopic surgery. While we anticipated a positive result from the surgery, the Stem Cell treatment seems to have contributed to a return of a more cheerful pain free disposition which we did not realize had slowly devolved over time. We attribute the success to a combination of an excellent orthopedic veterinarian together with the Stem Cell treatment. Happy Makalia.
